Fatal Shooting Investigated In Zumbrota
ZUMBROTA, Minn. (WCCO) -- One man was shot dead and a woman was injured in an officer-involved shooting in Zumbrota, Minn.
According to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened on the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue at about 9 p.m. Monday.
According to reports from KTTC, the responding officers were called to the scene of a possible domestic dispute there involving a married couple.
Goodhue County authorities said shots were fired while an officer was on the scene. A man was killed and a woman was injured. She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with gunshot wounds.
Neither the man nor the woman have been identified.
The official release from the sheriff's office did not say whether the man was shot by officers or whether it was a self-inflicted wound.
The sheriff's office said it there was no further threat to the general public.
