Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Polk County
POLK COUNTY, Wis. (WCCO) -- A motorcyclist is dead and his passenger is injured after a crash in Wisconsin, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday at 12:57 p.m., the Sheriff's Office was notified of the crash on 120th Avenue, east of the 130th Street intersection.
According to the investigation, John Nasseff of Oakdale, Minn. was traveling eastbound on 120th Avenue when his 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle left the south edge of the roadway. Nasseff attempted to correct and lost control of the motorcycle. At that point, the motorcycle went down on its right side and then flipped, ejecting Nasseff and his passenger, 53-year-old Beth Holmgren of Oakdale into the south ditch.
Both victims were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Nasseff died of the head injuries sustained in the crash.
Both victims were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
