2 Killed In Maple Lake Crash ID'd
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two Maple Lake people are dead after a head-on crash Tuesday morning on Highway 55 that closed the road for much of the day, according to the State Patrol.
Delano Price, 71, and 80-year-old Lois Price died in a four-car crash near Dempsey Avenue Northwest after their Grand Am, traveling westbound on Highway 55 was rear-ended by a Dodge Dakota.
Danny Brown, 50, of Annandale was driving the Dakota, with 48-year-old passenger Dawn Brown, of Annandale. The Grand Am was pushed by the Dakota into oncoming eastbound traffic as it was turning onto Dempsey Avenue. The Prices' car crashed head-on with a Toyota Corolla, driven by 67-year-old Mary Gelo, of Maple Lake.
The Browns' truck then crashed into a Lexus, driven by 43-year-old Tammy Peterson, of Maple Lake.
Danny Brown wasn't hurt, but Dawn Brown suffered a non-life-threatening injury. However, Mary Gelo was seriously injured, and Tammy Peterson is dealing with a non-life-threatening injury.
Highway 55 has since reopened.
