Farmers Report 6 Calves Stolen Off Property
MELROSE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Three complaints have been reported in Stearns County involving the theft of calves.
Between Friday and Saturday, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office received reports from farmers that someone came onto their property overnight and stole the calves.
The calves were located either in a barn or calf hutch on the farm properties. Investigators say it appears someone parked their vehicle a little ways from the property, walked up to each farm and carried the calves away.
The calves are described as four Holstein bulls, one Holstein Heifer and one Jersey Heifer.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating the thefts and asks for anyone with information to call (320) 251-4240 or Tri-County Crime Stoppers at (320) 255-1301.
