Faribault-Operated Tour Bus Crashes In Va., 13 People Hurt
MACHIPONGO, Va. (AP) — Virginia state police say the driver of a passenger tour bus has been charged after the bus went into a ditch along the Eastern Shore and 13 people suffered minor injuries.
State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday in Machipongo. She says the Vision Tours bus was heading from New York to Virginia Beach and was operated by ABC Bus Leasing of Faribault, Minn.
The bus driver, 59-year-old Jeffrey Williams, was charged with failure to keep a vehicle on the roadway.
State police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
A message left with the company wasn't immediately returned Saturday.
