Fargo Police Warn About Tainted Narcotics
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After a rash of overdoses, police in Fargo, N.D. are warning about possibly tainted narcotics channeling through the Twin Cities.
Authorities have responded to at least four overdoses in the past two weeks in which three people have died.
Fargo police said the drugs may be laced with other chemicals that make them especially dangerous.
They said a lot of the opiates are coming through the Twin Cities before reaching Fargo.
"The use of meth and opioids in this region has really spiked, and we have a real problem on our hands," Moorhead Police Chief David Ebinger said.
Police said four people arrested early Sunday morning at a south Fargo motel are believed to be a source of the drugs.
