Fargo Shanley Coach Hired At Minn. St.-Moorhead
MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) -- The head football coach at Fargo Shanley High School in North Dakota is the new head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Steve Laqua had been the head coach at Shanley the past four years. He led the Deacons to Class AA championship in 2009 and 2010.
Laqua played quarterback and linebacker at North Dakota State from 1997-2000.
He becomes only the 17th head coach in the 92-year history of the Moorhead program, though he's the fifth since 2004.
