Family: Former Minnesotan Killed In Alaska Plane Crash Killed Himself
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The family of a former Minnesotan killed in a fiery plane crash says it was suicide.
Doug Demarest, 42, died when his small plane hit two buildings in downtown Anchorage, Alaska earlier this week. His wife worked for a Minneapolis-based law firm in one of those offices.
A family spokesperson today said there's no reason to think Demarest was trying to hurt anyone but himself.
The FBI is investigating the crash.
