Falcon Heights Man Sentenced In Armed Robbery Of Uptown Dunn Bros
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 39-year-old Falcon Heights man was sentenced to 300 months in prison on Tuesday in federal court for using a firearm to commit an armed robbery of a Dunn Bros coffee shop in Uptown in October of 2010.
According to the report, Carlos Maurice Harris admitted that he and Ronald Harold Moore, who has already been sentenced for the crime, entered the Dunn Bros, bounded two employees with rope and robbed the shop.
Police said they caught Moore just after he left the scene, finding a 9-millimeter pistol and a bag of cash along the path that Moore took while fleeing authorities. Harris was pursued and a sweatshirt and a pair of gloves matching the witnesses' description were found along his escape route.
Both men remain in custody as they have criminal histories.
Their prior felony convictions include first-degree assault and aggravated robbery in Washington County in 1994.
Harris was also convicted of aggravated robbery in Anoka and Dakota counties in 1990 and third-degree burglary in Dakota County in 2010.
Moore was convicted in Ramsey County of second-degree assault in 1983 and third-degree sexual conduct in 1986. On Nov. 16, 2011, the 48-year-old Moore, of Inver Grove Heights, was sentenced to 360 months in prison for his role in the Dunn Bros robbery.
