MINNETONKA, Minn. (WCCO) -- Fire destroyed a home under construction in Minnetonka this afternoon. It happened on the 16-thousand block of Grays Bay Boulevard.
The fire went to three alarms, and Assistant Minnetonka Fire Chief Kevin Fox said crews worked hard to protect neighboring homes.

"We were able to get there within five minutes of being called," Fox said. "I think if we would have been a minute longer we would have lost the neighbor's house."
At one point, a propane tank exploded, which Fox said accelerated the fire. Seventy-five firefighters were on scene.
Fox said the owners were not home at the time, but two construction workers who were inside managed to escape. No one was injured. A cause has not been determined.
