Emerald Ash Borer Infestation Confirmed In Chisago County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A hungry pest that's destroyed millions of trees could be spreading north in Minnesota.
The Agriculture Department announced Thursday that it's discovered an emerald ash borer infestation in Chisago County.
The invasive bug tunnels into trees and kills them by eating their nutrients.
Trackers have found the emerald ash borer in nine Minnesota counties so far.
An emergency quarantine will likely start in Chisago County next week.
