Elton John To Perform In Mankato
MANKATO, Minn. (WCCO) -- Stop crying those "Crocodile Rock" tears. This April, Mankato will welcome one of the biggest-selling recording artists of all time.
Elton John is scheduled to perform at the Verizon Wireless Center on April 22, where he will play many of his beloved hits from the '70s, '80s and beyond.
John, who started his musical career back in 1969 and who was just recently nominated for a Golden Globe for best original song, is expected to perform such hits as "Rocket Man," "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me," "Your Song" and "Bennie and the Jets."
He also set a world record for the biggest-selling single of all time -- his 1997 recording of "Candle in the Wind," which was released after the death of Princess Diana and which went on to sell 37 million copies.
Tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 5 at the venue's box office as well as on Ticketmaster. Ticket prices are $139, $79 and $39.
