Edina Residents Upset Over Flight Pattern Proposal
EDINA, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Metropolitan Airports Commission meets Monday to consider a plan that would concentrate airplane routes in two zones, one of which would cut right across Edina.
Lori Grotz knows all too well what it's like to live where airplanes are constantly flying overhead.
"I grew up in Richfield, and basically under a runway," Grotz said.

Grotz now lives in Edina, and along with her husband Jim, are upset about a new plan the MAC is considering that would make their quiet neighborhood much more noisy.
"We are being dumped on. It appears to be revenge on the Hornets," said Jim Grotz, who added they were not represented when the decision was approved by the noise oversight committee.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says the new technology saves gas and is thought to be safer.
If the commission doesn't approve the plan, it would delay implementation by another 16 months.
