During The Super Bowl, Eat This, Not That
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Super Bowl and snacks go hand in hand. And if you started the New Year with a resolution to lose weight, you may need a little coaching to get ready for that Super Bowl party.
As Aristea Brady reported earlier this week, working off those treats could take more effort than you think. Here are some of the exercise equivalencies Brady came up with to work off some popular snacks.
-- One chicken wing requires running the length of a football field 12 times.
-- Six beers means you'll need to do the wave 4,280 times to work it off.
-- One serving of nachos equals one hour of jumping jacks.
-- One cup of guacamole will necessitate climbing stairs for more than an hour.
Nicole Pillow from Weight Watchers joined Natalie Kane on WCCO This Morning to show how you can still enjoy game day foods, but without eating an entire day's worth of calories in one sitting.
Here are links to the recipes from Weight Watchers featured in Friday morning's segment:
-- Beef Nachos
-- Baked Potato Skins with Creamy Spinach and Turkey Bacon
-- Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dip
