Duluth Rep. Huntley Will Plead Guilty To DWI
DULUTH, Minn. (AP) -- Democratic state Rep. Tom Huntley says he was arrested last week on suspicion of drunken driving, and he plans to plead guilty to the charge.
Huntley acknowledged being arrested on the afternoon of Feb. 2, says a Duluth News Tribune report.
Huntley says he was driving on Minnesota Highway 6 near Deerwood when he was pulled over for speeding. He says he'd been driving 8 mph over the speed limit.
Huntley says the state trooper administered a breath test that showed a blood-alcohol level of 0.083 percent. The legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent.
Huntley acknowledges his guilt and says he won't fight the charge.
The State Patrol has confirmed the circumstances of his arrest.
The 71-year-old Huntley received a warning for speeding but not a ticket.
