Duluth Boy Dies In Swimming Pond In Cloquet
CLOQUET, Minn. (AP) -- A 6-year-old Duluth boy was found unresponsive in a Cloquet swimming pond and later died at a hospital.
Cloquet Police Chief Wade Lamirande tells WDIO-TV the incident happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. at the swimming pond at Pinehurst Park.
The name of the boy has not been released.
Cloquet City Administrator Brian Fritsinger says there were four life guards on duty at the time. He says the beach will remain closed at least through Friday.
