Duluth Beats Minneapolis In 'Best Town' Showdown
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- When it comes to the best places to live in America, voters say Duluth takes the cake over Minneapolis -- according to Outside's online poll.
The fourth annual "Best Towns" contest put 64 towns head-to-head with the goal of finding the best place to live in America, according to online voters.
The website states the 64 towns were compiled into a bracket, based on their favorite towns in the country -- "from mountain escapes to beachside getaways and powder hot spots."
The first five rounds of voting lasted five days, with readers only able to vote once per round.
Minneapolis beat Iowa City, Cincinnati and Houghton, Mich. before falling to its fellow Minnesota town, Duluth. Duluth advanced past Columbia, MO, Athens, OH and La Crosse, Wis. and now faces Provo, UT in the semifinal round.
Round three of voting ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 8. Click here to vote.
