DUI Crackdown Dedicated To West Fargo Family
MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities in the Fargo-Moorhead area are dedicating a DUI crackdown to a family killed in a July wreck.
The Forum reports that relatives of the Deutscher family urged an end to drinking and driving Monday and called for stiffer penalties for offenders.
Allison Deutscher; her husband, Aaron Deutscher, and the couple's 18-month-old daughter, Brielle, were killed July 6 when a pickup truck driven by 28-year-old Wyatt Klein, of Jamestown, collided with the Deutschers' SUV west of Jamestown. Klein, who also died in the wreck, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 94.
Lynn Mickelson, Allison Deutscher's father, says the accident was 100 percent preventable
Law enforcement agencies across the nation are taking part in the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign, which runs Friday through Labor Day weekend.
