Driver, Vehicle ID'ed In Fatal Minn. Hit-And-Run
HERMANTOWN, Minn. (AP) -- Hermantown police say they've identified the driver and car suspected in a fatal hit-and-run last week.
The Duluth News Tribune reports officers from the Hermantown Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension executed a search warrant on a Hermantown resident's vehicle.
Police say the driver of the vehicle has not been arrested or charged, pending the results of evidence collection.
Eighty-two-year-old Laurence Sundquist was struck as he crossed the road in the fog getting his paper early on Dec. 30. He died at a Duluth hospital.
