Driver Injured After Train Hits Truck In St. Paul
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The Minnesota State Patrol said it's investigating after a train crashed into a truck overnight.
Authorities said the accident happened at about 12:45 a.m. Friday along Doswell Avenue in St. Paul, a remote back road near where Como Avenue crosses Highway 280. The train was backing up at the time of the accident and crashed into a truck that was carrying snow, authorities said. The scene shows there are no crossing arms or lights in the area for traffic to be notified that a train is coming.
Authorities said the driver of the truck had a minor injury but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The accident is still under investigation.
