Metro Transit: Driver Hospitalized After LRT Hits Vehicle

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A driver is in the hospital Saturday evening after their vehicle was struck by a light rail train.

According to Metro Transit, a driver turned in front of a train at University Avenue and Pascal Street and was struck.

The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Light rail service was briefly interrupted, but resumed shortly after the crash.
