Driver Ejected In Police Chase On I-94 Near Monticello
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A driver fleeing from police was ejected when the car rolled into a median on Interstate 94 near Monticello, Minn.
Around 7:15 a.m. St. Cloud police got a call about an erratic driver on westbound I-94, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Troopers tried to stop the car, but the driver sped off leading officers on a chase.
The pursuit ended when the fleeing vehicle crashed into a median, rolling and ejecting the driver.
The driver was injured and had to be airlifted to the hospital.
The road was closed for a period of time while police investigated. A portion remained closed though the morning rush hour.
The name or condition of the driver is not known at this time. It's also not clear why the driver was trying to get away.
