Driver Dies When Truck Crashes Into Rochester Building
ROCHESTER, Minn. (AP) -- A truck driver is dead after a semi-trailer crashed into a commercial building in Rochester. Two people inside the building were hurt.
The Post-Bulletin reports the truck apparently left the southbound lanes of U.S. 52 around 4 p.m. Monday, crashed through the building, crossed the railroad tracks and came to rest in some brush where it burst into flames.
The driver died at the scene.
Two women were hurt when the truck slammed into the building. One woman was trapped by debris and freed by first responders. She was taken to the hospital. The second woman was not seriously injured.
