2 Killed In Crash Between Car, Motorcycles

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are dead after a crash between a car and two motorcycles.

James Leon Young, 42, and Michelle Lee Young, 44, both of St. Cloud, died at the scene.

The two were riding separate motorcycles when they collided with the car.

The crash happened Saturday in Kandiyohi County. The State Patrol says a car on Highway 23 turned in front of a group of motorcycles. Christina Marie Knutson, 21, of Bricelyn, was driving the car.

The State Patrol says a third motorcycle laid down on the road to avoid a collision.

Two people on the third motorcycle suffered serious injuries.

James and Michelle Young were married and have five children, ranging in ages between 12 and 22.

Friends and family have created a fundraising page to assist with final expenses and funeral costs.
