At Least 2 Shot In Overnight Dispute

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say there were shots fired in a dispute between several people early Monday morning.

The incident happened near the 100 block of North 4th Street. Police were monitoring as it was already one of the 1st Precinct's focused patrol areas.

Police say when they approached the group, they started acting hostile to each other, and then shots were heard as the group fled in all directions.

Officers managed to stop some of those fleeing, and one had a superficial wound to the arm.

Another person flagged police down on South 7th Street and 3rd Avenue and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

None of the people who police talked with, including those injured, gave police any information as to what exactly led to the dispute.
