Dismantling Of Schaffhausen House Begins
RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WCCO/AP) -- Crews will begin dismantling the River Falls, Wis. house where a father killed his three young daughters last year.
It will be taken apart piece by piece over 10 days and the materials donated to the St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Danielle Milleon-Rhodes is with Details Construction and is working to take down the home.

"It's very hard to be in the house. Having children of my own, it's hard to think of what this family went through," Milleon-Rhodes said.
Milleon-Rhodes said they are salvaging everything from bath tubs, light fixtures and base boards.
Tom Milleon of Details Construction also donated his time.
"I think everyone was affected by what happened here. Being in the construction business, if I can do donate to try and help to ease the pain, that is what I tried to do," Milleon said.
In a statement Jessica Schaffhausen said, "I am really happy with the outcome and i think it is the best possible solution for the neighborhood and the community."
Neighbors are glad to see it go.
"I think it's a great idea and if they can dedicate it to the kids that is even better," Mark Romzek said.
There are stuffed animals on the porch and on the front door a sign reads, "Peace to all who enter here."
Affinity Plus Credit Union will sell the land and proceeds will help build a River Falls playground in memory of 11-year-old Amara, 8-year-old Sophie, and 5-year-old Cecilia Schaffhausen.
The playground is expected to cost about $500,000. According to Unlimited Play, who is helping build the playground, about 10 percent of the funds have been raised. Click here to donate.
Aaron Schaffhausen was convicted last summer of killing his three daughters. He is serving life in prison.
