Delta Subsidiary To Move From Minnesota To Georgia
ATLANTA (AP) -- Delta Air Lines is relocating a subsidiary from Minneapolis to Atlanta in a move that's expected to bring work done by 160 employees to the airline's headquarters near Atlanta's airport.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that MLT Vacations will move its headquarters over the next several months. The subsidiary manages Delta Vacations, United Vacations, Aeromexico Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations.
The company plans to offer about 160 employees in Minnesota the opportunity to transfer to Atlanta, then open up remaining positions to others later this year.
The headquarters jobs are in areas such as marketing, finance, advertising, human resources and distribution.
Although the headquarters will move to Atlanta, company officials say hundreds of employees in reservations, information technology and outside sales will remain in Minneapolis; Minot, N.D. and elsewhere.
