Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Engine Trouble
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – A Delta Airlines plane had to make an emergency landing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Friday night due to engine trouble, according to an airport spokesperson.
Airport officials said a Delta flight headed to Orlando suffered engine trouble shortly after takeoff. The plane's indicator light for the right engine went on, causing the pilot to shut the engine off and return to the airport for precautionary reasons.
Officials said the plane landed at the airport safely at around 8 p.m. The flight's passengers were transferred to another flight and got to Orlando about three hours later than their scheduled landing.
Officials said the incident is still under investigation.
