DEED: Minnesota Unemployment Rate Decreasing
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota continues to add jobs, and it seems to be a trend that will keep going in 2016.
The Department of Employment and Economic Development says employers added more than 9,000 jobs last month.
The state's unemployment rate also fell to 3.5 percent. That is much better than the nationwide rate of 5 percent.
Most of the jobs added were in leisure and hospitality.
The industries losing jobs were transportation and utilities.
