Dayton Raises $379K For Campaign Over 3 Months
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Gov. Mark Dayton raised $379,000 from the start of July to the end of September for his re-election campaign.
The Democratic governor's campaign voluntarily released the figures on Thursday, though he is not compelled to release quarterly finance reports.
The third-quarter total is the campaign's best showing so far as Dayton looks to defending his seat in November 2014.
Since Jan. 1, Dayton's campaign raised over $628,000 and spent about $263,000. It reports having just over $467,000 in the bank.
Dayton has said he does not plan to spend his own money on the campaign to the extent he has in several of his past runs for office.
None of the Republican candidates vying to challenge Dayton have released information about their fundraising so far.
