Update: Cyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run Undergoes Successful Surgery
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A cyclist injured in a Dakota County hit-and-run survived a critical surgery on Friday, according to his Caring Bridge page.
Bryan Joas was taken to North Memorial Medical Center after a driver struck him while he was biking home from work on Tuesday.
During the surgery, doctors removed 8 cm of Joas' rectum that was dead.
Doctors will monitor Joas closely over the next few days. He is still in critical condition.
