CVS Opens 1st Pharmacy Inside NC Target Store
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The first CVS inside a Target is opening in Charlotte, North Carolina Wednesday. It will be the first of many CVS Pharmacies inside Target stores.
Last June, CVS agreed to pay nearly $2 billion to acquire the Target pharmacy business.
CVS is taking over more than 1,600 Target pharmacies, rebranding them, and operating them.
Additionally, Target's 80 clinic locations will become MinuteClinics, and CVS is planning to open up to 20 more clinics inside Target stores.
All records will transfer from Target to CVS.
Target's headquarters is located in Minneapolis.
