Curiocity: Summer Line-Up At Mystic Lake Amphitheater

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Just in time for summer, Mystic Lake Casino Hotel will unveil a new outdoor amphitheater -- and they've already booked some big-time acts.

Construction for the amphitheater began in May with seat installation planned for mid-June and an estimated completion date of June 20. Mystic Lake will host a free Fourth of July concert at the new venue, plus several shows to close out the summer.

The new amphitheater is an added feature to the Mystic Showroom and will offer music fans an option for outdoor entertainment throughout Minnesota's "good months." The amphitheater includes more than 8,300 tiered seats, plus wheelchair accessible areas. The large stage is covered so events will go on, rain or shine.

Two concession stands are also being built for the amphitheater and will include refreshments, food items and a larger, summertime menu.

Jason Mraz will help debut the new amphitheater on Sunday, July 3, marking the first performer to take the venue's new stage. Check out the rest of the summer line-up below.
