Criminal Charges Possible In Callaway Train Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Becker County sheriff says prosecutors will review the investigation into last week's train and propane tanker crash in Callaway, Minn. for possible criminal charges.
Rail officials tell investigators the driver of a propane truck didn't stop for the train at a crossing.
The crash happened Thursday. Fire from the propane truck and its proximity to a propane tank prompted a daylong evacuation of Callaway residents. They were allowed to return home on Friday.
Gov. Mark Dayton visited Callaway on Saturday and spoke about statewide rail safety.
