Fire Destroys TimberCreek Furniture In Shakopee
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A family business will go through the damage Tuesday morning to see what's left after a fire in Shakopee.
The call came in shortly after 9 p.m. Monday at the TimberCreek furniture store on First Avenue East.
Firefighters from Chaska, Savage and Prior Lake were called in to fight the flames.
Fire officials say the fire appears to have started in the back of the building, adding that it could have been spared if the building had been equipped with a sprinkler system.
The furniture store has been a family business for generations. The building was built before sprinkler systems were required.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. No one was injured by the fire.
