Crews Reconfigure Highway 25 Until Floodwater Recedes
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Delays are expected on Highway 25 in Belle Plaine beginning Sunday morning, as crews work to reconfigure the highway to create a temporary detour route.
Highways 41 and 101 are already closed, due to the rising waters of the Minnesota River. Work on Highway 25 will take place to create detour routes while these highways are closed.
Crews will be working on Highway 25 at the East Main Street and South Walnut Street intersection. Access to Walnut Street will be closed, while workers restripe East Main Street between North Cedar Street and North Linden Street. They will also re-sign the area as a detour route.
Temporary traffic signals will be installed at the intersection, with all work scheduled to be completed by 3 p.m. Sunday.
