2 Firefighters Injured After Fergus Falls Fire
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) — Two firefighters were injured after an apartment fire in downtown Fergus Falls.
Fergus Falls fire department Capt. Chad Nelson says crews were called at around 10:20 p.m. Sunday and didn't get the fire under control until around sunrise Monday. He says crews were still on scene working on hot spots Monday morning.
He says one firefighter broke his arm and is expected to have surgery Monday. Another was treated on the scene for heat exhaustion.
Five families were displaced from apartments but all got out safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
