Crew To Cut Official Governor's Christmas Tree
PINE CITY, Minn. (AP) — A crew will head into the Chengwatana State Forest east of Pine City to cut down a 50-foot balsam fir that will grace the Governor's Residence in St. Paul this holiday season.
The Department of Natural Resources will harvest the tree on Thursday morning. Members of Conservation Corps Minnesota will assist with the cutting and loading of the tree.
The tree will be set up at the governor's residence on Summit Avenue on Monday morning.
