Coronavirus In Minnesota: What To Do With Tickets For Canceled Events
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Concerts, sporting events and plays are being either cancelled or postponed all over the Twin Cities.
For those who are ticket holders for any major league Minnesota sport, there is a chance the game will still happen. The NHL, MLB, MLS and NBA have all postponed their games and not cancelled yet.
All teams are hoping to still have games later in the year, which could mean hockey in the summer possibly.
"I don't care. I would watch anything right now just to go out and be with people," said Andrea Yoch, a ticket holder for the Loons and the Wild. "I'm a little in fear that everything is going to happen in like 8 weeks."
Representatives for the Twins, Wild and Timberwolves all say they will refund tickets if games end up being cancelled. However, they will only refund tickets purchased through the team. The Wild use Ticketmaster as their official ticket seller. If you purchased a ticket through a secondary seller like StubHub or Vivid Seats, their refund policy may be different.
U.S. Bank Stadium has already postponed two of its big concerts, including Kenny Chesney Chillaxification concert scheduled for May 2 and The Rolling Stones No Filter Tour scheduled for May 16.
The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts also has not cancelled any performances, only postponed.
Jamie Grant, the President and CEO, says they have already rescheduled Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives to September 2020 and Creedence Clearwater Revival's Green River to 2021.
Grant says they are working to reschedule the others April performances, including "The Last Ship" starring Sting, but he said ticket holders should expect to wait until next year.
"Artist like Sting, you can imagine how far out in advance he's booked and this is a big broadway show so you have to get everybody's schedules to work out to make it work," Grant said.
The Guthrie Theater canceled the remainder of their 2019-2020 season. A theater representative says ticket holders have three options:
1. Donate their tickets to the Guthrie
2. Add the money to their account for a future date
3. Get a full refund
These options apply to season ticket holders as well.
The Xcel Energy Center has only officially cancelled two performances including Jurassic World Live scheduled for October 9-11 and the Thom Yorke concert scheduled for April 5. The remainder of their events are postponed.

The Lumineers – March 13 (rescheduled Sept. 24)
Jason Aldean – March 14 (rescheduled for Aug. 8)
Eagles – April 3 + 4 (rescheduled for Oct. 16 + 17)
Marco Antonio Solis – April 21 (rescheduled for Oct. 2)
Reba McEntire – May 7 (rescheduled for July 23)
Five Finger Death Punch – May 20 (rescheduled for Nov. 6)
