Cops: Woman Angrily Posts Sex Tape, Faces Child Porn Charges
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A jealously-fueled act of rage and social network sharing has apparently backfired on a 21-year-old Burnsville woman, who allegedly posted a sex tape showing multiple minors.
Kayla Henry-Heagle told police that on June 28, 2012, she uploaded a video onto her social networking page that showed multiple people engaging in sex acts, a criminal complaint said. Three of those people, however, were minors – something Henry-Heagle told police she knew.
Henry-Heagle told investigators she "didn't care" that minors were in the video because she was so angry. She said she found the video on the phone of a man she'd dated, who gave the phone to her when he was incarcerated. At the time the video was taken, Henry-Heagle and the man had been dating and she was upset that "he had been with another female."
Henry-Heagle faces two felony child pornography charges: one for dissemination and one for possession, court documents filed Wednesday say. If convicted of both charges, she could receive a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison and/or a $15,000 fine.
The video came to the attention of police after one of the minors in the video (age 17) got a message on her social networking page telling her she'd been captured on video performing sex acts. Police spoke with the minor and learned that the video have been made eight or nine months prior to June 28, 2012. The minor said she'd gone to party with some people at a hotel in Burnsville, where the video was recorded.
On the day after the party, the minor learned the sex acts had been videotaped by another man in the room, later identified as Antonio Trice, who goes by the nickname "Snake." The minor told Trice to delete the video, and she believed that he did so. Trice is related to one of the minors in the video and the man whom Heagle dated.
Authorities were able to identify Trice as the creator of the video because at one point in the recording he turned the camera on himself, the criminal complaint said. A detective used a "snipping tool" to cut Trice's image from the video and send it out to other law enforcement agencies. A Minneapolis detective saw the image and identified it as being one of Trice.
Trice is charged with using a minor in a pornographic work, a felony. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine.
