Cops: Infant's Body Found At Laundry Service
RED WING, Minn. (WCCO) -- Police are investigating after employees at a laundry facility in Red Wing found an infant's body in linens sent there for cleaning.
Red Wing Police Chief Roger Pohlman said the baby had been dropped off at Crothall Laundry sometime within the past 48 hours by a Twin Cities hospital, and that when workers went to wash the laundry, they found the body and called the hospital.
Pohlman said the hospital came and picked up the infant's body before police were called.
Red Wing police are asking for help from police in St. Paul, and said that there's no indication of foul play at this point.
Pohlman wasn't sure if any parents have been notified yet.
