Coon Rapids Man Accused Of Distributing, Possessing Child Porn
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 54-year-old Coon Rapids man faces multiple child porn charges after a federal indictment was unsealed earlier this week, the Department of Justice said.
Guy Edward Wheelock is charged with seven counts of attempting to distribute child porn, one count of receipt of child porn and one count of possession of child porn. These charges are listed in an indictment that was filed in May and unsealed on Tuesday.
The indictment alleges that Wheelock attempted to distribute child porn videos seven times in September of 2011. He is also accused of receiving such videos in February of 2012 and of possessing several videos of such pornography.
If convicted, Wheelock faces a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison for each attempted distribution and receipt count, the department said. He also faces a 20 years sentence on the possession count.
