Conservative Group Posts $1M Ad Buy In Minn.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota is getting a big dose of advertising tied to the presidential race with a conservative group's new spot criticizing President Barack Obama's health care law.
The 60-second ad to begin airing Wednesday is from a group called Concerned Women for America. The ad condemns the Obama law expanding insurance coverage through employer mandates as too costly and too invasive.
The Supreme Court will rule soon on whether the signature Obama law is constitutional.
The group plans to spend just shy of $1 million to air the ad on cable and broadcast stations in Minnesota. It's part of a $6 million buy that will also encompass TV markets in Iowa, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Minnesota isn't considered a presidential battleground, but the others are expected to be competitive.
