Coleman Not Running For Office In 2014
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We're just four months past the election and some politicians are already talking about 2014.
Late Thursday night, former Senator Norm Coleman announced on Twitter that he will not run for public office next year. Coleman lost his Senate seat back in 2008 to Democrat Al Franken.
Before serving in Washington, he was the mayor of St. Paul. Coleman said public service is an important part of his life, and it will remain so even though he will not run for public office in 2014.
Some people had speculated Coleman would try for a rematch with Franken or challenge Gov. Mark Dayton.
