CHS Foundation Offers Scholarships For Ag Studies
INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) -- The CHS Foundation is offering scholarships to students planning to study agriculture at two- or four-year colleges.
The foundation will award 50 $1,000 scholarships to high school students planning to study agriculture at a two or four-year college, plus 25 $1,000 scholarships to first-year agricultural students attending a two-year college.
The CHS foundation is an arm of Inver Grove Heights-based CHS Inc., a Fortune 100 energy, grains and foods company owned by farmers, ranchers and cooperatives, along with preferred stockholders.
The application deadline is March 15. An independent, external committee will select the recipients based on essays, transcripts and reference letters.
The CHS Foundation also offers four-year university scholarships for students currently working toward agricultural-related degrees.
