Chemical Smell Reported At Mpls. Plant
NEW HOPE, Minn. (WCCO) -- Some problems at a manufacturing company in New Hope had employees complaining of irritated eyes and throats.
The symptoms were reported at about 1 a.m. Friday at Minneapolis Die Casting on Boone Avenue.
Two workers were moving metal shavings into the back of a trailer, when a reaction gave off an ammonia-like smell.
The two workers refused medical treatment.
No one else was affected.
