Charges: Prostitute Extorted John For $11,600
HOPKINS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Hopkins woman is accused of trying to extort money from a man she allegedly prostituted herself to after the two met on Live Links.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Dakota County, 32-year-old Lakeyia Shanee Johnson met the victim on the adult phone line last December.
The complaint says the man had sex with her on three separate occasions, during which photographs were taken.
Johnson is accused of then calling the victim to demand cash. She allegedly threatened to show the victim's wife the photos that were taken of their encounters.
The criminal complaint says that she even drove to his house to leave an item next to his front door.
The victim kept track of the amount of money he said he gave to Johnson to avoid being exposed, and between December 2011 and this month, he claimed he gave her $11,600. He brought this figure, as well as voicemails and text messages, to the attention of police.
Johnson was arrested after making another request for $2,000. She told officers that the alleged victim was her "sugar daddy."
She has been charged with felony counts of coercion and attempted coercion.
