Charges: Man Violates Restraining Order, Stabs & Kills Woman In Coon Rapids
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 25-year-old man is accused of stabbing and killing a woman in her Coon Rapids apartment in August, according to a charge filed in Anoka County.
Lucas Anthony Jablonski was charged Monday with second-degree murder in the death of Rebecca Drewlo, 34.
Jablonski was also charged in September with violating a restraining order. He was found in Drewlo's apartment building on the night she was killed, despite a 2014 court order barring him from having contact with her.
"This is another unfortunate example of a domestic situation resulting in a homicide," County Attorney Tony Palumbo said. "We will continue to seek justice on behalf of this victim and her family."
Jablonski made his first court appearance in Anoka County District Court Tuesday morning where his bail was set at $1.5 million without conditions and $1 million with the condition he have no contact with the victim's family.
Jablonski's next hearing is set for Jan. 17.
