Charges: Man Stabbed Wife More Than 60 Times In Murder
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 53-year-old man is accused of stabbing his 39-year-old wife more than 60 times at their Brooklyn Park apartment, eventually resulting in her death, according to an indictment filed by a Hennepin County grand jury on Friday.
Prince Oliver Moore Jr. was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the incident. Each count carries a penalty of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Police responded to the Villa Del Coronado Apartments on Zane Avenue in Brooklyn Park at about 2 a.m. on Sept. 13 on a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a woman dead at the complex after an alleged stabbing. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner later said Maryn Eunice Wanda Moore died from multiple sharp blunt force injuries.
Moore also suffered non-life threatening stab wounds in the incident and was taken into custody after being treated at North Memorial Hospital.
Court documents revealed that the two had a past with domestic violence.
