Charges: Man Had Sex With Underage Girl At Park

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 26-year-old Cottage Grove man is accused of criminal sexual conduct at a Lakeville park involving a teenage girl, according to charges filed Wednesday in Dakota County Court.

Juvario Vonderrick Holt was charged with two felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the April 30 incident.

According to the charges, Lakeville Police were called at about 5:20 a.m. that day to a park in the city on a report of a suspiciously parked vehicle. When officers arrived, a silver Dodge Caliber was not running, but police noticed it was rocking significantly. They then noticed that a man, later identified as Holt, was in the back seat of the vehicle with a young female. Both occupants were almost completely nude.

The female, who told police she was only 15 years old, said she and Holt had arranged to meet and have sex, the complaint states. She told police she met Holt on the website TAGGED.com a few weeks prior and that through conversations on the web site, she told him she was 16 years old.

According to the complaint, Holt met the girl despite their age difference at about 3:30 a.m. on April 14 and at that time, the two engaged in criminal sexual conduct. On the morning of April 30, the two were again in the process of various sexual acts when police arrived.

Holt admitted to police that he met the girl on April 14, but said they only held hands and kissed. He also said he intended to engage in sexual acts with the girl on April 30, but was interrupted by police, the complaint states.

Authorities tracked conversations on the TAGGED.com web site between the two, where the girl told Holt she was 16 and that he tried to convince her to sneak him into her home while her mother was sleeping. The two agreed to meet at the park, where Holt acknowledged the sexual encounter.

If convicted, Holt faces up to 30 years in prison and $60,000 in fines.
